Young Canadian pianist of Vietnamese roots, Alexandre Vovan was forced to interrupt his work and studies in 1998 because of Systemic Lupus, a severe chronic illness that first struck him at age 19. After years of recovery and an episode of Stevens Johnson Syndrome, Vovan is back in the music field as Director of Sales and Communications at Analekta, the Canadian classical record label, after a short passage at the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal as Press Attaché. He still performs as a soloist and with trumpet virtuoso Paul Merkelo.

As a pianist, he reaches the listener with his colorful touch, his presence on stage, and by sharing his sensitivity without reserve. A multi-talented artist equally versed in photography and computer technology.
